Thank You!
A brief note to all my Medium followers.
--
As the year comes to an end, I wanted to take the opportunity to reach out to all of you, reminisce and say thank you.
I will remember 2021 as the year that saw me finally going all-in with my writing. The year when I fully embraced vulnerability, came up with the words to describe my painful story, and found an audience for it that could not only read and enjoy, but also relate to it.
In 2021, The Math Folder evolved from a handful of personal writings into an elaborate publication. A renewed and more ample collection of stories, custom illustrations for each and every one of them, a new logo and color palette, and a stronger presence on social media: The Math Folder is now more than just a view into my life— it’s an intimate space for everyone that is struggling with sex and trying to overcome their porn addiction.
Throughout this year, my greatest satisfaction was witnessing how my stories resonated with people of all ages and backgrounds. I saw them helping some of you feel more understood and less alone, giving you the motivation to work on your own issues, or just entertaining you and giving you a laugh or two. Your feedback and support were my reward, and the fuel that kept me going as I put more and more effort into my writing and my publication.
And that’s why now, a few days short of saying goodbye to 2021, I wanted to take the time to tag each and every one of you in this story, just so that I can address you all personally and say: Thank You!!!
I hope you had a wonderful year and I wish you all the very best for the one that’s about to start. For my part, I will continue to invest in my writing and share my stories with all of you. I hope that, through them, we can all continue to grow together!
Give it up for each and every single one of my followers! (see if you can find your name in the list, it’s not short!):
Jose Antonio Ribeiro Neto (Zezinho)
Thank you with all my heart!
